If a child is marked as absent for the current day, a red overlay icon with the letter A is shown on the child's photo on the application.
Absences are also shown on the Attendance Reports, and on the Attendance Forecast Report.
You can add absences on the web application or on the mobile application.
On the web application
1) Click on the child photo on the Home/Room page, then click on the 'Add Absence' link on the right of the page.
2) You can also list and add absences on the child profile page on the web application: click on the child name in the Children page, then click on 'Schedule' on the left side of the page, then click on 'Absences & Vacations' to view the recorded list of absences.
From there, click on 'Add Absence' to enter the period of the absence and the reason for the absence.
On the iPad application or Android tablet
Tap on the child photo at the top of the screen then tap on the 'Add Absence' to enter a new absence period for the child.
Absences are used on the Attendance Forecast Reports, they are also shown on the Attendance Reports a red message for absent days, and on individual attendance reports for each child under the 'Absences' section.
Absence tracking is only available to Professional+ subscriptions.
